About Look to the Ant
Chapter 3 - Immortal Jellyflish!

Hi! I'm Aaron Diamond, the author of "Look to the Ant" (Let's call it LTTA for short, after all, who has much time these days!?).

LTTA is not just any old kids' devotional - it is a new, powerful Christian life guide for children aged 7-11 which blends deep scriptural truths with quirky humour and memorable illustrations.

LTTA goes beyond the average children’s devotional by focusing not just on the development of spiritual disciplines, but also on empowering kids with practical life skills, helping them to develop healthy relationships and grow into well rounded individuals physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Each one of LTTA’s thirty-three short four-page chapters introduces a different animal and explores how its behaviour can point our kids to an essential truth about God.

Each chapter is packed with jokes, facts and practical acts your kids can put into action straight away.

My inspiration for Look to the Ant goes back to my own childhood, when I spent hour upon hour engrossed in the fascinating characters of Roald Dahl novels. I realised that the real-life characters of the animal world have their own amazing stories to tell that can really grab kids' attention and teach them rich truths about God's heart for them.

Kids will learn how mighty punch of the mantis shrimp reveals the mighty power of prayer, and how nut-gathering squirrels can teach good money habits. Elephant mourning rituals will help kids to cope with grief and loss, and ancient killer whale grandmothers will teach respect for elders. “Immortal Jellyfish” illuminate the reality of eternal life in Jesus, whilst exploding beetles show little ones the importance of reigning in their anger tantrums!

I believe that God has given me an important message to share through Look to the Ant – that he is continually speaking to us through his “book of nature”. And that like the ants, each one of us has an important individual role to play, yet we are all part of something bigger – the building of his kingdom on earth.

I want kids to know that our actions and our character truly matter, yet because God is on our side, none of us must bear the weight of the world on our shoulders. And that by learning important practical and emotional skills early, kids will be set up for success and insulated against a whole host of mental and physical problems as they grow into adulthood.

I'm a first-time author and I want to invite you to collaborate with me on the journey to getting published! I'm going to publish a selection of the book's chapters as blogs on this website, and I would so appreciate your comments, feedback and encouragement.

So please, sign up today - and get the first five chapters of the printed version for free as a gift from me.

Yours, gratefully - A.J Diamond
